There is a pretty good chance you only think you have a big bottom. Studies have shown that a waist to hip ratio of .6 to .7 is considered to be the most attractive regardless of weight. This means that your waist is 60% to 70% the circumference of your hips. Use the below waist to hip ratio calculator and we’ll do the math for you.
You can also determine your hip to waist ratio with the following method:
- Measure your waist
- Measure your hips
- Divide your waist measurement by your hip measurement
- Move the decimal two places to the right to get the percent value
If you fall within the .6 to .7 range, but think you have a big behind, you are mistaken. Show that bottom off! There is a good chance you simply need to balance your body by adding volume to your bust and shoulders. This may be a scary prospect since many of us women work to make everything look smaller, but if don’t work to achieve balance you are probably doing yourself a disservice.
